Hello, dear friends!
I don't know about you, but this week just passed so fast, between the spring break and my daughter's birthday (it was raining but we were prepared with games inside home)... I almost forget to make the card for I heart sketch challenge... I love these sketches. This week the challenge has as twist to make a masculine card, and this is what I did:
I colored the image with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils, I cut it with a circle die (Sizzix), I distressed the edge with a sky bue ink pad. We wished to make the birthday party outside like this mice, but we did it inside and everything went well :)
For the background I used a blue cardstock and Birthday embossing folder (Cuttlebug). I also used some patterned paper from my stash.
Challenges:
I heart sketches: #144 + twist, Art by Miran: AG, The stamping boutique: masculine, Crafting with friends: AG, Cardz 4 galz: cute and cuddly, Critters and creatures: AG, Fantastic Tuesday: cute critters, Creative Fingers: AG, Sieze the birthday: birthday (no topping), Jo's scrap shack: AG, Fresh Brewed Designs: Happy Birthday, Simply papercraft: AG, Crafty time: birthday, WAW: AG, Digistamp 4 joy: add an animal, Little Miss Muffet: AG, Wonderful Wednesday: AG, Simon says: come rain or shine, OSATT: AG w/ embossing, Creative Playground: birthday

I drink coffee and you?
Hello, dear friends!
As in the title of this post, I am a coffee drinker, for hot drinks it's my favorite :)
I don't drink much when crafting, I don't like to bring the cup to my working place because I am afraid to make a mess if the coffee spills... But between cutting, glueing and this and that, I go to the kitchen and drink some coffee!
I made this card specially to participate in the Spring Coffe Lovers Hop:
The image is by Bugaboo Stamps and I colored it with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils. I made some green details with a glitter glue and I think look nice. I cut it with Labels 2 Spellbinders die cut. The same for the craft cardstock mat.
I used Folia patterned paper, it's all about coffee on a green background. I used a brown ribbon (Crafty Ribbons). With a black fine marker I made some faux statiches around the image and around the background.
Challenges:
Spring coffee lovers: coffee creation
Catch the Bug: Bingo (green - bling - ribbon)
Color your world: AG
Come and get it: add stitching
Glitter and sparkle: AG
Lil patch of crafty friends. AG
Pile it on: stitching

Pot of flowers
Hello, dear friends!
This last week we had rain almost every day, this morning we woke up with some falling snow, but fortunately it's gone, and we hope for a new week with sunny days, as Nauruz festival (Central Asian New Year) will be held on 21st, 22nd and 23rd of March.... I also hope that this rain will bring lots of flowers and green grass. Wishing good weather and spring and flowers I made two cards:
I used white cardstock as background and embossing folders. I used flower dies (Sizzix) and made some flowers combining colors. I cut the pots, I didn't have a pattern at hand, that's why they look different, hahaha... For the first one I used two shades of green and two of yellow cardstock. For the second one, two purples, one green and one pink cardstock.

Hello, again!
Where I live tulis are the flower for March. You start seeing them for Women's day and the rest of the month, they decorate the whole city... you have them in many colors, I did these ones for my card in pink:
The image is From the Heart Stamps and I colored it with alcohol based markers and some details with pencils. I did some faux stitches around the image with a pink fine marker.
I used pink cardstock and an embossing folder for the background and the dp in the layout is from a My mind eyes stack.
The only embellishment is a pink glitter tulip that my friend Maryann gave me a bag with many long ago and I save them, so today I used one!

Cat with Hat
Hello, dear friends!!!
After some hours (almost a day) without internet, I am back and would like to show a new card I made:
The image is by Cre8tive Hands, it is a freebie for the new group Cre8tive Hands Fans at Facebook (there are 45 members already, when 50, it will be a new freebie for fans!!!!), and with that freebie you can enter in a progressive challenge that just started, why don't you join? I colored it with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils and placed it on a black cardstock mat. If you celebrate St. Patrick this looks great in green!
I used orange cardstock and an embossing folder and some dp with red and light orange. I didn't know how to combine this dp, and that's why I love embossing, because trasform a normal cardstock in something wow! Love the variety of folders and different textures you can make with them.
As embellishments I used a recycled red ribbon (from some flowers I've got in a wedding) and a black button with some embroidery thread.
When we moved to this place back in November, a cat moved too and adopted our house as hers. We call her Mishi, and it is a sweet cat. I didn't like cats before her, and now I can say that she is winning me... She still lives outside, she is not allow in... yet! So this card is in her honor. Here, a pic:

Spring is here

Hello, dear friends and visitors.
The last 2 days we had rain here, normal for spring, but this morning we woke up with a thin blanquet of snow..... It looked nice but the trees are about to bloom and that is not good for them :(

Spring Squirrel
Hello, dear friends and visitors!
Last week we had the visit of a little squirrel in our garden. It came so fast from the neighbour's garden and run up from tree to tree... Our dog saw the movement but didn't know what it was. I can tell you it was a great image in my mind, I will not forget it! The squirrel didn't have poppies but it was announcing spring, you don't see them before it :)
I would like to show you this new card I made and I would love if you can comment telling me your opinion:
I've got the image long ago, it was a freebie at A Day for Daisies, I colored it with acuarelable pencils. I cut it with a scallop oval die and I used some red cardstock and a die from the same set for the mat.
I used white cardstock and dots embossing folder for the background. I used more red cardstock for the mat. I love dry embossing, you can make a simple piece of cardstock to look awesome, it gives texture, adds dimension and a delicate background.
As embellishment I punched out a few butterflies from a magazine paper and then distressed them with a red ink pad, I glued them with double side fomi tape. I used pearls to give some sparkle and add more dimension.
I am thinking, maybe instead of red, should I've used kraft cardstock?

Painting ladybug
Hello, again!
This is another card I made and would like to show you:
The image is From the Heart Stamps: Painting Ladybug. I colored it with alcohol based markers (Kuretake), and made some lines with a white pencil to imitate brightness and I like the effect. I used a green ink pad to distressed the edges.
I used green cardstock and a flowers embossing folder for the background, some pink dp with multicolor flowers and glitter and lots of sparkle (the picture doesn't show very well).
I used my sewing machine and made three lines of holes in the left edge to make the stitching that shows the sketch. I used a pink/green ribbon. I used one of the sentiments that comes in the set, started being a tag, then I cut a little bit, then another little and finally left just a big sentiment. I die cut a flower from some magazine paper and distressed the edges with an ink pad and finished it with a big rhinestone.
Challenges:
I heart sketches: #142 + big sentiment

Hello!
I would like to show you another card I made, I am loving this of doing my own backgrounds, and I love acuarelle paints!!!! I was inspired and learn through some cards I saw at Pinterest, here, here... and many more!
I used watercolor paper and acuarelle paints to make the background. I used a rubber stamp with Memento black tuxedo ink and then I used a glue pad for embossing powder and put some clear powder and the heating tool, I guess I need to get some black embossing powder, for now I combine the two things. I used black cardstock for the background. To embellish it I used clear dew drops.
Challenges:
Simon says: make your own background
Simon says: a little bit of green

Masculine birthday
Hello, again!
I would like to show you another card I made with a couple of techniques I am not used to: acuarelle background and embossing with powders. This is the card I made:
I used mainly green and blue acuarelles for the background on a watercolor cardstock. I used a rubber stamps with Happy Birthday sentiment with some glue pad for embossing powder, I used a blue one and the heating tool, I think I can improve... I used a blue-greenish textured cardstock for the mat. I also used some dew drops and green baker twine to embellish the card.
Challenges:
Simon says: make your own background
Simon says: a little bit of green
