I am very excited for participating this week at the Birthday challenge at Catch the Bug. Last year I did and after the challenge I had many birthday's card prepared... I hope I can do all of them and have a good birthday batch too!
This is my first card for the Birthday Celebration Sketch challenge:
I colored the image with Koh.i.noor aquarelable pencils and cut it out, placed it on a white circle cardstock (sizzix die) and placed it on a Kraft cardstock scallop circle (Nestabilities).
I used kraft cardstock, blue cardstock and a scrap of MME skyblue glittered dp. For the blue background I used Argyle embossing folder (Sizzix) and for the scallop stripe, Dots embossing folder (Sizzix) and scallop scissors.
To embellish it I used some blue twine (Doodlebug primary colors twine) and a kraft color button. I print the sentiment myself.

ReplyDeleteI love all the shades of Blue in this lovely Birthday card Ardilla. The image is delightful and the impact of your embossed blue background is stunning. The twine and button are lovely finishing touches. This card is a lovely start to your birthday card stock as it is so appropriate for either a male or female.

I do love blue and brown together, and this embossing makes the background look almost woven together! So glad you shared this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
