You are amazing...

I made another card for a friend... I told you, I am inspired, hahaha...

This time, I used a rubber stamp, a Mo Manning one "BFF", this two girls friends forever, I used Memento tuxedo black ink... I colored it with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils, I cut it with a circle die and placed it on a blue flower mat.

I used a peach cardstock as background and distressed the borders with an orange ink pad, also I used an orange with circles in different colors dp. I tried to go with the orange(peach)-blue color combo.

I also used a blue polka dot ribbon and a lace. I placed the sentiment  on a peach label, also borders are distressed with the same orange ink pad. Then I added some blue bling in one corner.

Hope you like my card!

Thinking of you...

Another friendship card... For us, in Argentina, July is friends months, as we celebrate "Friends day" (Dia del amigo) on the 20th. Maybe that is the reason why I am doing friendship cards, (I know, a little bit later, hahaha...)

For this card, I used "Gab in the groove" (Just Some Lines). I won this image in a challenge last year, but didn´t use it so far. I colored it with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils and cut out the image, then using foami tape, I placed it on an orange elipse mat. I like to give dimension to the images sometimes :)

I used two different dp, but both of them with butterflies. One is apple green color and the second is dark blue, as Gab's clothes.

Then I added a couple of yellow ribbons, one is stamped and wide and the second is thin and plain. I made a bow, added a green button. Then the sentiment is a TLC one and I placed it on the up corner to balance the card and because of the background is better there that in where for the sketch it is suposed to be (oops!).

I do like how it looks, do you?

Sending you a smile

I was playing some the last two days and made a couple of cards. This is one, no special ocasion, just pure friendship and encouraging.

The image is a Pink Gem stamp, Ginny with flowers,  I've got last year as a freebie. I colored it with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils and placed it on a green mat, then I draw some faux stitches with a fine green marker. And made the same for the TLC sentiment.

I used a striped green-yellow paper as a background, then I used a yellow-green ribbon.

The only embellishment I used is a big flower (Prima) with the same color of the flowers in the image.

I hope you like my card :)

A white wedding card

One of my youngest friends is getting married soon and I want to prepare her card with time (I don´t want to rush one day before the wedding... as usual, hehehe!). I want a white on white card (except the image)... And I need to apologize for the bad pictures, I made them in the evening when the sun alredy went to sleep and to make photos of white things without natural light is a nightmare... so, please, try to understand (also my hubby is not here today to help me with the camera, he is much more better than me for the pics :))

EDITED: I made new photos this morning, they look a little bit better that the ones from last night, I only leave the first one as that is the one I linked up in the challenges, but I will remove the dark ones :)

I chose this "The greeting farm" image that I had for almost 6 month now and never use it before... I colored it with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils. I don´t know why the cheeks look so red, they don´t look like that in reality... I used glitter on the bride's dress and think she looks gorgeous with it.

I dust it off my embossing plates (I don´t use them since last Christmas!) and use them on white cardstock to make the different layers of the sketch.

I want to do a very romantic card, so I used white lace and ribbon (I have this ribbon for two years now but this is the first time I opened and use it...).

And maybe you don´t believe this, but I don´t have any white flower (I have cream though) so, I used my daisy punch to make white daisies and embellished them with small white pearls (don´t they look nice?).

I really hope my friend and future husband will like this card :)... and you too!

Christmas in July - Wrap it up

This is my last project for this week's challenges at Catch the bug: Christmas in July. Today the challenge is to add a bow to the project.... I added two of them :)

I colored the image Joseph, Mary and the donkey... I love this digi, I made many cards last year with it and this year too!!! I colored it with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils and then I distressed the border with a brown ink pad.

I used golden plain paper and glittered papers (Frontline Papers). I also used a golden ribbon and made two bows.

In one of them I attached the tag with the sentiment (Joy to the World), it was a freebie last year but don´t remember where, so please, if you know or remember, could you please let me know to give credit to the person.

I feel really happy about this week, because I craft every day and started with my Christmas cards, I learned  how to do shaker cards and some other things too.
Hope you like this card!

Christmas in July - Sparkle

One more entry for this week's challenge at Catch the bug, today: Make it sparkle! And today it's a first time for me... for long time I wanted to do a shaker-card but never tried it before... I hope to improve, but for a first time I think is quite ok...

I colored the image with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils and added some glitter. Then I cut the image, the acetate, the red cardstock with Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels two and with foami tape and more glitter I made the shaker part of the card... It was a lot of work as it was the first time doing it and I learned many things so I hope not to make the same mistakes in future as with this one, hehehe...

I used a snow dp (Oriental Trading), a Ginger's sentiment , red cardstock and nothing else as I want to be the shaker the protagonist of the card and for masculine cards we don´t need to add to many things!

I am happy that I was able to take the pictures and not have the reflex of the acetate on them :)

Challenges:
Catch the bug: make it sparkle
Creations by Gilly: use of acetate

Christmas in July - Tropical Santa

This is my fifth entry at the challenge at Catch the bug....
I love this challenge!!! In my country, Argentina,  Christmas comes in summer and we all love to be in the beach, eating fruit salad, ice creams and everything very summery!!!

I colored the freebie Tropical Santa with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils, then with foami tape I gave volume to the feet and the face (although you can't notice it in the pictures, don´t know why...). I mounted it in a blue mat (cut with a Labels two, Spellbinders Nestabilities).

I used stripe papers in very bright colors (printer soyuz) and mounted on a blue cardstock. I cut with two different punches suns in different sizes to embellish it and give the idea of heat and tropical.

I added a ho ho ho sentiment placed in a blue mat.

Hope you like it :)

Christmas in July - Humor card

Last year I participated at the challenge at Catch the bug "Christmas in July" and it was really helpful to start with my Christmas cards, so this year I am planning to join again! This is my fourth entry for this week's challenge at Catch the bug.

I love this Santa, his expresion is so fun...!!! I think it fits perfect for today's challenge and will be great for some male friend. I colored the image with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils, then I put some glitter on the image, not to much... and placed it on a red mat.

I used some stars-red paper (Muresco) and I will tell you a secret, I was planning to use the other side of the paper and I didn´t realize until I finished the card about my mistake... when I finished I thought, the mat is almost invisible, why?, then I've got it... when I tried in the other side (which is white with red stars) it worked much better, but I was tired and didn't want to do it again ;(
(TIP: don´t craft to late at night as you may mistake and don´t want to re-do your job again!)

I also used a Christmas dark red ribbon ('Tis the season), some green circles (sizzix dies) and in each one I put a light green button with a knot made with embroidery thread.

Challenges:

Catch the bug: humor-funny projects
Heart 2 heart: sketch
EDITED (07/26):
I can´t play at this challenge because I don´t have any of their products, but the sketch is great.

Christmas in July - A non Christmas image

Last year I participated at the challenge at Catch the bug "Christmas in July" and it was really helpful to start with my Christmas cards, so this year I am planning to join again! This is my third entry for this week's challenge at Catch the bug.

I used this image that is not a Christmas one, but is a shopping lover... and many of our friends can be related to this lady here, hehehe.... I colored it with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils and placed it on a dark green mat.

I used a striped green paper (Oriental trading) and used some ribbons with small presents on it, that I think suits perfect for the image.

Then I made some poinsettias using one of my punches, red and green cardstock, a little bit of foami tape and small yellow stones, (I think they look cute...).

The sentiment was a freebie I grab a while ago, but now I don´t remember from where, so if you know, please, let me know as I would like to give credit to that person. I mounted it on the dark green cardstock (I cut it using a Sizzix oval die) and used small green stones to embellish it.

Challenges:

Catch the bug: a non traditional Christmas image.
Christmas cards all year round: poinsettias or holly
Dutch dare: bingo (bright colors, blling and ribbon)
Divas by desing: anything goes

I gave some volume to the crib with foami tape, I like the effect :)

I used two different dp, the red one is a Oriental trading and the green one is a Printer Soyuz, I also used some red texturized cardstock.

I used this Teddy with ornament and colored it with Koh-i-noor acuarelable pencils, I put glitter in the hat and the ornament, I like sparkle in Christmas cards :) Imade some faux stitches with a fine marker and used a sky blue paper as a mat.

I also used a sky blue plaid paper (Oriental Trading). I don´t have to many Christmassy papers, but I think it looks great for a boy's card.
