A card for mom

After almost one year that I couldn't post in blogger, the last two days I tested it and worked!!! For that reason, today I come back to my blog to post a new card I made.

I used this warm and cute image from A Day for Daisies, although its name is "big sister" for me is a mom with her baby and they are enjoying each other embrace. I colored it with acuarelable pencils, distressed the border with a dark pink ink pad and mounted in a dark pink cardstock as mat and I distressed the border with a distressing tool.

I used a pink-green dp, a embossed green cardstock (polka dots). I used lace, a green flowered ribbon and a green ribbon overlaping the lace one.

I used a pink button and made a knot with the same green ribbon. The sentiment is from Create with TLC.

Challenges:
Eat Sleep Scrap: sketch #128
AIFactory: anything goes
Aud Sentiments: happy mother's day
Craft us crazy: mother's day and/or flower (my flowers are in one of the ribbons)
Digi doodles shop best: anything goes
Moving along the times: anything goes
Outlawz POM: anything goes
Pals Paper Arts: CAS-buttons

I hope you like my card, if you do, please, leave me a coment :) Thanks for visiting!!!

Test 2 - Bullfrogs and butterflies

You can see the orignal post here.

This is my weekly card I normally make for the challenge from Designed to Delight, Free stamp of the month challenge - Delightful Inspiration blog.

This time I want to have vibrant colors and used markers, but as they are not alcohol based doesn´t look very nice, it seems as my daughter colored it (LOL), but it was me :(
I also used some glitter glue and made some faux stitches with an orange extrafine marker.

I used yellow cardstok as mat and some rainbow colored dp from Folia. I used ribbon, a flower and a flower-brad. I twisted a little bit the sketch as I didn´t want to put the ribon overlaping the image, then the ribbon goes behind it.

Challenges:
D2D: use the image
Sweet Sunday sketch: SSSC 114
Simon says challenge: anything goes
NettieG's: bugs and plants
Creative inspirations: inspired by rainbow
The corrosive challenge: animals
SSCC: anything goes
Make it monday: anything goes
Tuesday Throwndown: brads or eyelets
The stamping boutique: winged things (butterflies)
Party time tuesday: anything goes
Scrap creations: flowers

To tell you the truth I'm not very happy with the result... I think I should use some other color for the mat...

In some challenge blogs the theme is Mother's day and although in my country we celebrate it in October (yes, October...) I wanted to make a card and now I'm ready to send it to my mom when the time comes!!! The image is a ChiChi Memories one. I colored with acuarelable pencils but I worked a lot in the hair as this is Make it colorful challenge for this week. I have to say is very treaky to do it with acuarelable pencils.... first I did as always do, but after words didn´t look as I wanted so I have to use the black pencil but no water this time. I'll tell you a secret, I colored the image first not knowing which paper I would use and it was a little hard to find the papers later... I used two different dp (or printed) papers, a lace and a ribbon and a flower as embellishments. I'm learning to chose everything forehand and then coloring the image, but this time I didn´t do it in that order and took me a while to finish my card!

Challenges:
ChiChi Memories: sketch #30 and CCM image
Make it colorful: coloring black hair
I did it creations: recipe: Use 1 image, 2 printed papers and 3 embellishments
Cardmadfairy: Use 1 digital image, 2 patterned papers and 3 embellishments
Creative Cowgirls: Happy mothers day
Stamping vacation have you tried: ribbon over lace
Really Reasonable Ribbon: Violets & Lilacs & Plums, oh, my!!!

Sparkles forum: anything goes

OK, I'm crossing my fingers to see if this post will work...

I hope you like my cards, and if you do, please, let me know :)

Have a great day!!!
